Electronic bowling score monitor above a lane, where bowling prices in Malaysia are paid per game

Bowling prices in Malaysia in 2026 start at about RM6 a game at small east-coast centres and reach RM45 for cosmic bowling in Johor Bahru. Most mall centres charge RM7 to RM12 a game, with the cheapest rate before 4pm or 5pm on weekdays. Add RM2.50 to RM4 for shoes and RM2.50 to RM5.50 for socks. So two people bowling two games each on a weekday afternoon spend roughly RM40 to RM50.

Reading the table

A few notes help you read the table. Ampang Superbowl's day rate runs until 5pm, except at Times Square, where it ends at 4pm. Sunway's two figures are with and without a MyKad. At Daiman, Friday counts as weekend. Meanwhile, Supreme Cosmic Bowl includes a drink and popcorn with every game, which explains much of the gap.

Prices at other centres

Many centres don't publish a rate card online. For those, we rely on listings and social posts, so treat these as a guide and check the board at the counter.

Weekday, weekend and student rates

When you bowl affects bowling prices in Malaysia more than where you bowl. Across the official cards, weekend and public holiday games cost RM2 to RM4 more than a weekday daytime game. At Times Square, the gap is RM6.50 (RM11.50 versus RM18). Evenings fall in between.

Student rates run from RM5 to RM8, usually on weekdays before 5pm only. Ampang Superbowl drops them during school holidays, so plan around the school calendar. Sunway offers RM6.80 for those 21 and under with a student ID, and RM6.30 for seniors aged 60 and over, on weekdays from 10am to 6pm. Klang Bowling listed an OKU rate of RM6 in November 2025.

We found no special Ramadan or school holiday promotions on any official page. However, MIBC in Melaka did post changed opening hours for Ramadan 2026.

Shoes, socks and extras

Every centre rents shoes, and most rent or sell socks. In 2025–26 listings, shoes cost RM2.50 to RM4 and socks RM2.50 to RM5.50. Sunway makes both compulsory, so bringing your own socks there saves RM3.50 a visit. At Supreme Cosmic Bowl, you can skip the rental and bowl in clean sneakers.

Ball rental rarely appears on rate cards. One exception is Wangsa Bowl 1 Utama, which listed ball rental at RM3 in 2024.

Packages, memberships and deals

Regular bowlers can cut costs a lot, because several centres offer deals that beat the standard bowling prices in Malaysia. Here are the ones we found:

  • Ampang Superbowl app: free to join, and members pay RM1 to RM3 less per game (2026).
  • Sunway Mega Lanes: members pay RM7.50 on weekdays from 10am to 8pm and RM8.50 at other times. Company tournaments of 30 or more people pay RM10 to RM11 a game (2026).
  • Daiman Bowl Strike Card: RM7, RM10 or RM12 a game, depending on the time slot.
  • KLGCC: 3 games for RM27 for visitors, or a party package of 4 games each for RM41 a head (2026).
  • UPSI Sports Bowl, Tanjung Malim: 50 games for RM250, or 30 days unlimited for RM300.
  • Ipoh Bowl Kinta City: 4 games for RM23 on weekdays from 10am to 5pm.
  • Supreme Cosmic Bowl: RM100 a year for 20% off, according to an October 2024 post (verify locally).

Birthday party packages are priced on enquiry everywhere we looked. See our kids' bowling parties guide for what to ask.

What a typical outing costs

These worked examples turn bowling prices in Malaysia into real totals, using official 2026 cards. They include shoes and socks for everyone, since that's what most casual bowlers pay.

Example costs for a bowling outing (2026 rate cards)
ScenarioGamesShoes and socksTotal
2 people, 2 games each, weekday before 5pm, Ampang Superbowl Summit USJ4 × RM8 = RM322 × RM7 = RM14RM46
2 people, 2 games each, Saturday, same centre4 × RM12 = RM48RM14RM62
4 people, 3 games each, weekend, Sunway Mega Lanes (with MyKad)12 × RM15 = RM1804 × RM6.50 = RM26RM206
4 people, 2 games each, Saturday, Supreme Cosmic Bowl Mid Valley (own sneakers)8 × RM35 = RM280RM0RM280, drinks and popcorn included
4 students, 2 games each, weekday daytime, Ampang Superbowl Mahkota Parade8 × RM6 = RM484 × RM7.50 = RM30RM78

Notice how shoes and socks can make up a third of a cheap outing. In the last example, the four students would pay RM62 instead of RM78 by bringing their own socks.

Rent or buy your own gear?

If you bowl every week, rental adds up, and gear is a big part of long-term bowling prices in Malaysia. In October 2026, entry-level bowling shoes cost about RM160 to RM330 at Malaysian pro shops. A RM160 pair pays for itself after about 25 to 54 visits, depending on the rental price. Our guide to renting versus owning bowling shoes works through the numbers.

A ball is a bigger step. A basic plastic ball costs about RM360 to RM470, and Sunway's starter packages cost RM560 to RM679 with drilling included. House balls are free, so a ball only makes sense once you bowl regularly. See our bowling balls guide before you buy.

Tournament and league fees

Competitive bowling costs more than the casual bowling prices in Malaysia listed above. The 44th Malaysian International Open in 2026 charged RM100 to RM150 to register and RM70 to RM150 per singles entry. Strike! Bowl in Kuantan ran tournaments in September 2026 at RM55 for four games. No centre publishes league fees, so ask at the counter. Our leagues guide explains how leagues work.

How to bowl for less

  • Go on a weekday before 4pm or 5pm, when nearly every centre charges its lowest rate.
  • Join a free loyalty app such as Ampang Superbowl's, which takes RM1 to RM3 off each game.
  • Carry your student card, but check school holiday rules first.
  • Bring your own socks to save RM3 to RM5.50 per person.
  • For groups who bowl fast, a time-based lane at Wangsa Bowl can beat per-game pricing.
  • Outside the Klang Valley, many centres charge RM6 to RM10, so bowling prices in Malaysia drop sharply once you leave the capital.
