This privacy policy explains what happens to your data when you use bowlingmalaysia.com. The short answer: the site itself collects nothing about you. It has no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no forms and no accounts. This policy takes effect on .
What we collect
Bowling Malaysia is a set of static HTML and CSS pages. There is no JavaScript, so nothing runs in your browser to record what you read or click. We also host our own fonts and photos. As a result, opening a page doesn't send a request to Google Fonts, a content delivery network or any other outside service.
The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us by email. That usually means your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to check any correction you send. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell or share your email with anyone. Once a matter is closed, we keep the message only as long as we need it as a record of the change.
Server logs kept by our web host
Like almost every website, our pages sit on a web host. A static web host may keep standard server logs for security and operations. Those logs typically record your IP address, your browser's user-agent, the page requested and the time. We don't control exactly what the host logs or how long it keeps the logs. Even so, we don't use these logs to profile visitors, and we don't combine them with anything else.
Cookies and third parties
The site sets no cookies of any kind. Also, no third-party scripts, ads, embeds or social widgets load when you visit. Many pages link out to other websites, such as the MTBC, bowling centres and news outlets. When you follow one of those links, that site's own privacy policy applies, not ours.
Children
Bowling is a family sport, and young bowlers read our guides too. Because the site collects nothing, children can browse it safely. However, if you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before you email us.
Your rights under Malaysian law
Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) sets out how organisations must handle personal data. Parliament amended it through the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024. The Personal Data Protection Department (JPDP) publishes both texts. Under this law, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, email [email protected]. In practice, the only data we could hold is past email you sent us.
Changes to this privacy policy
If we ever add a feature that changes how we handle data, we will update this page first. We don't plan to add analytics or ads.
