Team events

Sarawak won the women's doubles and the women's team of four, according to MTBC. Selangor, for its part, took the mixed team of four. MTBC's article did not list the line-ups or scores for these events, and it did not give winners for every doubles and team final.

Familiar names in form

Several winners came into the interstate championships 2026 in good form. Chong Jun Foo, the men's singles champion, finished runner-up at the Malaysian Open in June and fourth at the KL International Open. He also won the Classified Masters at the Sarawak Open in September. Megat Zaqrul Haiqal, who won men's all events for Selangor, was third at the KL Open.

Boys' singles winner Muhammad Aiman Syahin Sulaiman was part of the Malaysian mixed team that won world youth gold in Kuching in July. Gillian Lim then backed up her all events title by winning the women's open crown at the nationals.

Only through their state. Each state association picks its own squad, usually from its top averages and state trials. If you want to be considered, contact your state bowling association or ask at your home centre.
