How Sin won the Rockford Open 2026
Sin had to win every match from the bottom seed. She started well and kept getting better. In the final she beat Singapore's New Hui Fen 257-234 to collect US$20,000.

|---|---|---|
| 1 | Lauren Russo | 211-178 |

| Final | New Hui Fen (SGP) | 257-234 |
Her four games added up to 986 pins, a 242 average. In fact, bowl.com ranked it as the fifth-highest four-game step-ladder total since 2015.
A second straight win at The Cherry Bowl
Sin also won at The Cherry Bowl in 2024. Back then, that title kick-started her Player of the Year campaign, bowl.com noted. So Rockford has become a happy hunting ground for the Malaysian.
A note on prize money: Wikipedia lists the first prize as US$18,000. However, bowl.com, the USBC's own site, gives US$20,000, so we have used that figure.
What it means for Malaysian bowling
A season-opening win set up Sin's strong 2026. She later finished runner-up at the Barbara Chrisman Classic and the U.S. Women's Open. By the end of the year she was third in PWBA points and second in earnings. Our PWBA 2026 season review has the full numbers.
