Bowling alleys in Melaka: where to bowl and what it costs

5 min read

Rows of lanes inside a large bowling centre, typical of bowling alleys in Melaka

There are three bowling alleys in Melaka open in October 2026, and two of them stand out. Melaka International Bowling Centre (MIBC) in Ayer Keroh has 52 lanes, the most of any centre we found in Malaysia. Ampang Superbowl at Mahkota Parade has the cheapest official 2026 rate card in the country: RM7 a game before 5pm on weekdays and RM10 at weekends. A third alley, Golden Bowl, also sits in Mahkota Parade and is open going by 2026 visitor reviews.

Which one to pick

For a serious session, MIBC is the obvious choice. Its QubicaAMF lanes opened in 2009, and the centre has a pro shop, a cafe, a surau and ping pong tables. It also hosts tournaments. However, its only published prices come from an undated tourism page, so check the board when you arrive.

For a cheap game in town, Mahkota Parade wins. Ampang Superbowl's card there is RM7 before 5pm, and members on the free app pay RM1 less. Students pay RM6 on weekday daytimes, although not during school holidays. The centre is cashless, so bring a card or e-wallet. It's also handy for tourists, since Mahkota Parade sits close to the old town. See how these numbers compare nationally on our bowling prices in Malaysia page.

Closures and doubtful listings

We found no confirmed closures among the bowling alleys in Melaka. Golden Bowl looked like a stale listing at first, but it's a separate alley from Ampang Superbowl in the same mall, with its own phone number and map pin. Google reviews from 2025 and 2026 show it open, and one 2025 review quoted RM5 a game before 5pm and RM8 after. Most reviewers rate it poorly for upkeep and service, so Ampang Superbowl is the safer choice there.

We also checked Dataran Pahlawan and AEON Bandaraya Melaka and found no bowling at either.

Nearby options

To the north, Negeri Sembilan has DreamBowl in Putra Nilai and The Sphere Bowl in Sendayan. See our Negeri Sembilan bowling guide for details. To the south, Ampang Superbowl runs a 14-lane centre in Segamat and a 36-lane one in Kluang. Both are on our page for bowling alleys in Johor.

Local tips

  • MIBC posted special opening hours for Ramadan 2026, so check its social media during the fasting month.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I go bowling in Melaka?

There are three centres, and two are confirmed by their operators. Melaka International Bowling Centre (MIBC) sits in the MITC complex at Ayer Keroh, and Ampang Superbowl runs a 24-lane alley at Mahkota Parade in Bandar Hilir. Ampang Superbowl Mahkota Parade charges RM7 before 5pm on weekdays, RM8.50 after 5pm and RM10 on weekends (2026 card). Shoes cost RM3.50 and socks RM4. A tourism listing gives MIBC prices of RM6.50 to RM7, but it's undated, so expect the counter price to differ.

Which bowling alley in Melaka has the most lanes?
